My Mowed Lawn Has Lines, and I Love It!

It’s true! I just finished mowing my lawn and one of my absolute favorite things after I finish is to admire the nice lines on my lawn. And yes, I am also fond of the lines on my carpet after I vacuum (which I did shortly after the lawn!).

The past few weeks, I have been mowing to produce vertical lines. In the next few weeks, I will mow to produce horizontal lines. After that, I will mow to produce diagonal lines. I was told years ago to alternate the mowing patterns to reduce the wear on the lawn.

Because of time and skill  limitations, I only mow to produce these three rather simple, but pleasing patterns. However, I am pleased to know that other gardeners have let loose their artistic passions and produce ever more elaborate lawn patterns.
