Yard Work, After Work, Part 2!

Well, it’s been a mere few days since I trimmed a few bushes after work and I found myself in the same scenario: still enough daylight out to tend to my yard! I felt so motivated from the success from days ago that tonight, I mowed my lawn in under 20 minutes!

I feel so gratified with the results! When I started mowing my lawn again just a few months ago, I had to stop and take a break for what seemed to be every few minutes. Tonight, I only took one break – now that is progress! And I had a heavy sweat, what a serious workout is supposed to do.

It helped immensely that I was doing this in the early evening rather than in the late afternoon, during the summer heat. I think I may have found my warm-weather workout! Provided that I can get home while there is still daylight out, I can do my front-yard work during the work week, a few times a week, and free up my weekends for more relaxation!

During the cold-weather months, I will have to return to the weekend schedule, but I will make the most of my healthy, warm-weather regimen.  I have already seen tangible health and yard results – multi-tasking!

I am not one to join a gym,  but this evening yard work, in the fresh, cool air, was something I really enjoyed. It did not feel like working out, but it was, and the time seemed to pass quickly, which will help me to continue with this regimen. A total body workout!
