Black Beauty Zucchini!

This is such a beautiful and delicious summer squash. There are a few zucchini on the vine right now, as well as a few squash flowers (which are also edible).

Started from seed, I am always excited to see signs of a successful planting, and this is it!

In recent years, I have found that I buy and eat a lot of these wonderful green squashes and thought that it would be a splendid idea to start growing them myself.

I feel very fortunate to be able to grow some produce in my own garden. Once I got a spot of land, it was only a matter of time before I started transforming it into a private farmers’ market. Although my harvests have varied, each fruit and vegetable produced are very much treasured and enjoyed – one of life’s great and simple pleasures!
