Weeds: Whitestem Filaree

Also known as Erodium moschatum and Musky Stork’s Bill, a ring of these broadleaf weeds have formed around my apple tree (but not for long!). These weeds are not native to the U.S.  It’s a constant battle that rages on in my garden – me versus the weeds – but I’m now familiar with the “regulars” that appear in my yard.

More information on this specific weed can be found here: http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/WEEDS/whitestem_filaree.html
