Makeshift Front Yard Shade Garden!

It’s all in there: (1) cymbidium orchids, (2) epidendrum orchids or crucifix orchids, (3) jade plant, or Crassula argentea or Crassula portulacea or money plant or money tree – a succulent, (4) yellow ginger plant, or cream garland lily or Hedychium flavescens Carey ex Roscoe, (5) white calla lily or Zantedeschia aethiopica or giant white arum lily or common arum lily, and (6) English ivy, also known as Hedera helix, variegated type. That’s a mouthful!

Except for the yellow ginger plant, all other plants are in containers. I’m not yet sure if this will be the final spot for these container plants but they sure do look like they’re having a nice time together!

CONSUMER ALERT UPDATE: English ivy has been reported to be highly poisonous to animals and humans, both in its leaves and in any berries it may produce. Please take steps to wash your hands thoroughly after handling this plant and keep it away from reach from children and animals.

Calla lily also has toxic properties, as does the jade plant.
