Summer Squash and Snow Peas Sprouting!

I only planted the seeds for summer squash (yellow and green) and snow peas on June 29. The seeds, in containers, are already sprouting! The squash seedlings are on the left and the snow pea seedlings are on the right. I planted a pinch of seeds and planted them in 5-gallon containers, set in a sunny place, and water three times per week, and these are the happy results!

TIP: Squashes grow from vines as do snow peas. I usually prop up squash-laden vines atop upside down containers to keep the squashes dry and being attacked by ground-dwelling pests. I cage my snow pea plants to keep my container garden maintenance and harvesting of pea pods manageable and neat.
