Dragon Tree

Dragon Tree, Branches from UnderneathDragon Tree, FullMy dragon or drago tree (dracaena draco) appears to be quite mature. It is a native of the Canary Islands, off the west coast of Africa. I had a few branches removed today since they were growing too close to my garage. It was also deadwooded, i.e., years of dead plant material were removed. The overall tree remains lovely. It is a breathtaking specimen and, from the branch cuttings, I hope that they will root and become trees in their own right.  HOW TO: I washed off and moistened the cut ends and dipped these moistened ends into a rooting hormone powder. I then placed these treated cuttings into pots with soil in them, and watered. I’m hoping for the best! The pictures are of the “cleaner” tree and an interesting, close-up view of the branches from underneath the tree!
