This is the time of the year when I look forward to seeing the results of my winter planting of bush bean seeds, in containers. This year, I selected from a packet of seeds that contained three varieties of bush beans: green, purple, and yellow. The yellow has not yet made an appearance, but the green and purple have. I find that they’re very productive plants, generating a nice crop to sustain me for the season. The beans are delicious also, not just beautiful!
TIP: I plant the seeds no later than January, and in 5-gallon pots. I water them three times a week, and feed them with MiracleGro Liquafeed once a month. The Liquafeed bottle is attached to a plastic feeder/nozzle device (”Advance Feeder”), and then attached to my water hose. It sprays a concentration of water and Liquafeed, when you select “Feed.” You can also select “Water” if you don’t want to feed.
SHOPPING TIP: Initially, when I purchased the feeder at the local home improvement store, I bought a set, which came with a supply of two bottles of Liquafeed, I think. After that, I just purchase sets of 4 bottles of the Liquafeed.
